ABOUT THE AUTHOR

In 5th grade, a bully yanked out Isabella's chair as she went to sit down. She suffered a concussion, fractured tailbone, back and neck injuries. The effects of the concussion left her with NDPH- a rare and debilitating headache disorder- and Occipital Neuralgia - both invisible disabilities.

Her life was changed forever. 

​

Although unable to participate in activities she loved like tap dance and tennis- and in constant pain- she didn't sit and do nothing. She started baking, creating her own cookie, Iznettes®️. She became an advocate for anti-bullying and brain injury awareness organizations and donates from her cookie sales to support them.

Everyone faces obstacles. At an early age, Isabella learned to turn them into positives. Learning to live with the debilitating effects from the concussion sent her on a mission. Isabella learned many life-long lessons along the way- making her one tough cookie!

Isabella wrote, illustrated, and self-published a picture book, titled The Short Story of One Tough Cookie: A True Story to show that we all can be strong- be that tough cookie- and Never Crumble!®️, no matter the obstacle.
